Clerk's Office donates to My Autism Connection Inc. during Autism Awareness Month

Roger D. Eaton, Charlotte County Clerk of Circuit Court & County Comptroller, and his staff raised awareness for My Autism Connection, Inc. in April for National Autism Awareness Month. My Autism Connection provides services throughout Southwest Florida to autistic adults ages 18-50, and works to create inclusive communities in which autistic adults are self-reliant, successful, engage in meaningful connections, and live their best lives. read More

Clerk's Office Raises Funds for Animal Welfare League during National Pet Month

Throughout April 2024, Charlotte County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller staff collected donations for the Animal Welfare League as part of Roger’s Rescue / Eaton Eats. Clerk Eaton visited the Animal Welfare League on Tuesday, May 7th to donate $2,000 and over 500 pet products to AWL staff and board members. read More

Clerk’s Office Passport Day

Charlotte County Clerk of the Circuit Court & County Comptroller, Roger D. Eaton, is excited to announce our annual Clerk’s Office Passport Day with FREE PASSPORT PHOTOS. First-time passport applicants, citizens with expired passports (over 15 years from the issue date), and minors needing to renew their passports are encouraged to take advantage of this special event.

Passport Operation Hours Extended!

Effective May 16 2022, our Murdock office at 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 is extending operating hours to process passport applications. With this change, the passport operating hours for both the Punta Gorda Justice Center and the Murdock Administration Building will be the same - Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Back on June 1, 2018, we started passport services in the Murdock location from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, giving Charlotte County citizens an additional location to apply for their passports. Now, due to high demand, we extended operating hours to assist our citizens. We proactively look for ways to provide better, more efficient services to our local residents.

If you need to apply for a new passport or renew a child's passport, please come visit either of our office locations. We also provide passport photo services at both office locations.
