Clerk of Court Roger Eaton recognized for 2024-2025 Best Practices Excellence Program.

Charlotte County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller, Roger D. Eaton, was recently recognized for Excellence in Best Practices Acceptance by the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) for the fifth consecutive year at the FCCC Summer Conference.

Of 68 Clerks and Comptrollers statewide, 59 participated in this year’s program. Of those, only 33 received Recognition of Excellence certificates in every category. To celebrate the program’s five-year anniversary, milestone recognition was also awarded to 39 Clerks and Comptrollers who have participated each year since its inception—which included the Charlotte County Clerk of Court.

The 2024-2025 Best Practices Excellence Program evaluated and recognized Clerks and Comptrollers in the following areas:

  • Capital Asset Management
  • Compliance Services (Collections)
  • Eviction
  • Evidence Storage and Destruction
  • Exploitation of Vulnerable Adult Injunction
  • GAAP Financial Reporting
  • Grants Administration
  • Marriage License
  • Post-Issuance Policies and Procedures
  • Wireless Communications Device Citation

“Being recognized for the fifth year in a row as a Clerk’s Office that excels in all areas is confirmation to the proficiency and diligence of our entire staff, in every department and function. I couldn’t be prouder of our entire team”, said Charlotte County Clerk of Court Roger Eaton.
