Out of nearly 300 facilities in the Miami Passport Region, the Charlotte County Clerk of Circuit Court’s passport office was part of a small group to receive a perfect score on its audit report from the U.S. Department of State.
The Clerk’s Office received the top ranking in the Acceptance Facility Review Report with regards to its work in assessing the operations for passport processes. This assessment included a site visit in both the Justice Center and Murdock locations with one-on-one interviews, inspections of facility space and security features, as well as real time observations of acceptance agents accepting and executing applications from the general public.
“Our employees are exceptionally trained and comply with a rigorous set of standards in order to conform to the Department of State’s requirements” stated Clerk Eaton. “Our employees are vigilant in ensuring that travel documentation is provided with the highest level of integrity and professionalism”.
