Clerk of Court Roger Eaton Recognized for 2023-2024 Best Practices Excellence Program - July 3, 2024



Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers - Recognition of Excellence

Charlotte County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller, Roger D. Eaton, was recently recognized for Excellence in Best Practices Acceptance by the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) for the fourth year in a row.

The Best Practices Excellence Program was established in 2021 as an opportunity for Clerks to receive a recognition of excellence certificate for completing assessments that evaluate certain Best Practices. Of 67 Clerk’s offices in the State of Florida, our office is 1 of 58 counties to receive the Best Practice Certificate in all 10 eligible categories. The 2023-2024 Best Practices Excellence Program evaluated and recognized Clerks and Comptrollers in the following areas

  • Appeals
  • Civil Contraband Forfeiture
  • Court Record Retention and Destruction
  • Department of Revenue Parenting Plan Fee Waivers
  • Determination of Indigency
  • Marriage License
  • Public Records Requests
  • Risk Protection Orders
  • Service of Documents by Clerks for Pro Se Litigants
  • Vexatious Litigants
